Offices are a big barrier to keeping healthy, with the generally sedentary lifestyle and the easy access to low quality and unhealthy food. Managing to do so despite this is very difficult, but there are a few things that you can do to reinforce your chances:
- Keeping moving throughout the day is one of the best ways of keeping healthy. This may be done as simply as making sure you stand up and walk around every 30 minutes or so, or you could even buy a chair which requires you to move a lot.
- Preparing your food for the day before work or even the night before is also a great method. This means that you know what you’re eating and can therefore better manage your diet.
- Drinking lots of water instead of just relying upon coffee for your daily intake of liquids is another big thing. Although coffee is unlikely to make you overweight it can have other negative implications which aren’t exactly desirable.
