Don’t underestimate the power of water


We often hear people harping on about water and how we all should be drinking more, but this often goes in one ear and out the other and not many people actually see the true benefit of drinking water.
Water is good for you in a number of ways. It helps flush out the body of any toxins that may be building up and can help to prevent or get rid of water infections. Without water we would all become very dehydrated. Dehydration can have a massive effect on the body and if it goes on for a long period of time can prove fatal.
If you find that you are getting a lot of headaches or lacking in energy then you may want to start by increasing your water intake. Ideally you want to aim for 2 litres per day – which is about 8 glasses. If you struggle to remember to drink that much water, then why not invest in one of the water bottles which shows you how much you should be drinking and at what time. This gives you targets to go for and can help you understand how much you need to consume each day. If you don’t like the taste of water then adding a small amount of squash or some fresh fruit can add the flavour that you may miss.
