Are you getting enough Vitamin D?

Your body is usually able to get all the vitamin D it needs if you regularly expose enough bare skin to the sun, so if you are lacking in Vitamin D then you are not getting enough natural light.

Not only can vitamin D help keep your bones healthy it seems that it can also have a hand in reducing risk of cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, and more.

Vitamin D is needed for maximum absorption of calcium from the intestine, helping to build strong bones and teeth.

Despite the ability to get vitamin D from food and the sun, an estimated 40%-75% of people are deficient. We all try to stay safe in the sun but maybe sometimes we are too safe and are therefore stopping ourselves from being able to absorb the correct amount of sunlight to create vitamin D.
